MAY DAY 2026. LET THE WAR BETWEEN THE CLASSES STAND AGAINST THE WAR BETWEEN NATIONS!

This May Day is marked by war, bombings, death, and devastation. The race toward World War III has begun.

The First World War, which mainly devastated Europe, was not stopped in its tracks by revolution, but toward its conclusion and immediately afterward, the proletariat was ready to react and take to the field—first and foremost in Russia, Germany, and also Italy—guided and directed by the left-wing proletarian parties and the Communist International.

The subsequent degeneration of the Communist Parties, which accompanied the Stalinist counterrevolution, resulted in leading the proletariat onto the battlefields of the second imperialist slaughter and then, exhausted by the war and deprived of revolutionary leadership, into the harsh postwar reconstruction under “democratic” and post-fascist regimes that marked a continuity with fascism in the expression of Capital’s class rule.

Today, once again, the winds of war accompany the crisis of overproduction, which demands a new cycle of destruction of commodities and productive forces, of cities and factories, and a new massacre of proletarians—all already underway in various war zones. All this to give rise to a new cycle of accumulation that allows Capitalism to survive its doom.

The third imperialist war is already underway in various parts of the world, a contingent expression of the will of the world’s chief policeman, the United States of America, gripped by crisis and ready to unleash the firepower at its disposal to secure raw materials and dominance over markets it cannot otherwise maintain. But other players—China, Russia, and, trailing behind, Europe—are also rapidly rearming in anticipation of the conflict’s spread, which looms as a massive catastrophe. Soon, images of death and destruction—already not far from us—will become part of daily life in our countries, with young proletarians drafted and sent to the front.

This fate is not inevitable. If the working class will be able to react—by refusing solidarity with their own states and ruling classes, mobilizing in the class war against the sacrifices imposed for the war effort, and with the aim of their own revolutionary emancipation—the rush toward war mobilization can be stopped!

Beyond and against the cowardly pacifist propaganda, only the preparation and unfolding of the revolutionary movement of the working classes can stop the third imperialist war. It is in this perspective that they must orient themselves and mobilize, rebuilding their own organizations for economic defense and rediscovering the leadership of their own Class Party.
